How to Request an Appointment

If you need to see a doctor on the same day at the surgery, please ring at 08:00 for an appointment. The doctors offer an emergency surgery each day, please ring and request an appointment. 

Approximately half of our morning appointments are available to book up to 6 weeks in advance and half are only released on the day.

Emergencies

If you need to see a doctor or nurse in an emergency, you can call the surgery during opening times.

Seeing a Nurse

If you need to see a nurse, appointments can be made by contacting reception or by referral from your doctor.

Telephone Appointments

We provide a telephone triage with a nurse between 08:00-09:00 each day. When you ring into the Surgery in the morning, you may be added to this clinic.

We provide a limited number of GP and nurse telephone appointments Monday to Friday between 12:30-14:00, as well as a Wednesday and Thursday evening between 18:30-19:00.  

Cancellations and Reminders

Cancel an Appointment

It is important that you inform the reception staff if you are unable to attend your appointment, this will allow that appointment to be offered to another patient. If you fail to notify the practice that you are unable to attend, you will be sent a letter informing you that you have defaulted from your appointment. Persistent defaulters maybe removed from the list.

This can only be used if your appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance, (excluding weekends and public holidays). You can also text to cancel your appointment.

Text Reminder Service

We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments.

Please remember to update your contact details with us when you change address, telephone numbers and email address.

Late For Your Appointment

Please attend your appointment on time, if you are late you may not be seen. If you are not seen, you will not be able to rearrange your appointment until the next working day; except in the event of an medical emergency that requires immediate attention.

Extended Access Service

GP practices in West Norfolk offer their patients access to appointments out of hours. There are appointments available until 20:00 on weekdays and appointments on both Saturday and Sunday.

These appointments are available at hub/host practices in West Norfolk and can be booked online. There is a rotation system for hosting the service.
